LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION:
June 07, 2010
To Whom It May Concern,
I’m writing to recommend Greg Mannino as he looks to further his graphic design career. I was Greg’s editor for roughly 18 months, when he worked as the graphic designer on Oro Valley|Marana, Tucson Bridal, Savor and Indulge magazines while employed at Tucson Newspapers.
Greg possesses many qualities that make him an ideal employee for your company.
Probably most important is his extensive imagination and independent thought. During his time working for me, Greg was required to work on a varied number of publications, each with its own look and style. It was a benefit that with little direction he was able to create separate and distinct products.
Greg’s position required him to work in a team environment and while having a strong vision for projects he was still able to accept critical thought and suggestions in order to create a product that achieved his artistic creativity while meeting my needs. In addition to his creativity, Greg possesses an excellent command of programs such as Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator and Quark.
I can only imagine that the enthusiasm, conscientiousness and focus he demonstrated during his time with Tucson Newspapers will continue on through the rest of his career.
If you have any questions or would like to talk about Greg Mannino further, feel free to contact me at (520) 806-7733.
Sincerely,
Dave Califano

To whom it may concern:
I have known Greg Mannino for a number of years. On the occasions when I have had the chance to work with Greg, I have been thoroughly satisfied with his work. Without reservation I can recommend Greg on the basis of his artistic talents and his technical expertise.
Whether I have come to him with specific graphic ideas or with an undeveloped concept, Greg has brought his considerable creativity and craftsmanship to every project.
Greg sees the big picture and devotes his energy to satisfying the client. Working with Greg, I always feel comfortable that he will revise and tweak elements of each graphic treatment until I am satisfied with the result. He works efficiently and has met every deadline I have set, even when the scope of my original proposal has grown. He has often delivered early and with multiple options. As a producer of independent film, I have the opportunity to work with a number of artists and creative professionals. For The Eyes of Me, we have worked with a spectrum of collaborators.
In his professionalism, his efficiency, and his ability to bring his artistic talents to various works-for-hire, Greg Mannino has earned my trust. I look forward to working with Greg in the future.
